For the first week of my Intermediate Game Development class, I was given the task of creating a 3D pinball game with the Unity game engine. The main constraint for this project was a 7-DAY TIMELINE for completion and presentation to the class. I also had to include an auto-plunger and shooter lane as well as flippers that operated using Unity hinge joint components. UI to show the player's score and pinballs remaining along with sound effects and music were also required.
I'm from Washington State (USA) which is famous for growing apples, so I decided to make the theme of my pinball machine an apple orchard. Trees, crates and barrels all act as bumpers with a special effect when the ball bumps the trees.
